Concert for the Republic
State Polyphonic Choir came together once more with the audiences of Antalya by means of the concert for the Republic.
Muammer Sun's soundtracks of Kurtulus, A. Adnan Saygun's Cantata in Old Style and some marches were in the program that was performed with Antalya State Symphony Orchestra on October 31st evening. |

 The Basic of the Republic is Culture
The concert named "The Basic of the Republic is Culture" was in Ankara Bahcelievler Anitpark on October 26th at 12.00 o'clock pm. by the participation of 52 civil social organisations in which our Polyphonic Chorus Association will took place.
It was an important civil activity in which 52 civil social organisations will participated by leading of Tobav and And Foundation.
It was a joyful activity with nearly 1500-2000 professional and amateur artists from Ankara and other places while performing marches.
In this activity a civil band will took place first time and accompanied the participants.
Ibrahim Yazici was the conductor of the choir and the band causisting opf professional and amateur artists of Ankara State Opera Choir and State Polphonic Choir etc. whose participants were volunteers

 The First Concert
The State Polyphonic Choir performed the first concert of the season on October 9th in Antalya.
The Choir who performed Carmina Burana to nearly 3000 audiences in Antalya Karaalioglu
Park with Antalya Symphony Orchestra will perform concerts several times with the same orchestra

 2008-2009 Season of Art Getting Started
Our artistic corporations try to get ready to come together with the audiences by the activities lasted along Summertime.
State Polyphonic Choir also will come together with the audiences by a lot of concerts in this season in which the 20. Season of Art will be celebrated at the same time.

Preparation for the 20th year of our Choir is continuing
Preparation of 2008-2009 season for the celebration of the 20th year of art of the State Polyphonic Choir is continuing.
For that, a season full of concerts with orchestras and unaccompanied concerts, photograph exhibitions, private and educational concerts expects the art lovers.
Also our website is on broadcast with its new content containing a demonstration film of our Choir and new multimedia choices. |

A Requiem in Eskisehir
Chorus performed Mozart's Requiem on May 23rd Friday at 08.00 p.m. and on May 24th Saturday at 02.00 p.m. with Eskisehir Symphony Orchestra at two concerts in Eskisehir. |

The Choir was on road again
Last week the State Poyphonic Chorus had a new concert tour.
The Choir performed a repertoire consinting of polyphonic folk songs in Gaziantep on may 8th and in Sanliurfa on may 9th named "Our Women and Folk Songs".
Soprano Özlem Ercan Sevim, Özlem Şeker and İmren Hacımustafa took place as the soloists in the concert that was conducted by İbrahim Yazıcı.

Our Artists' Trip to Moscow
Fazil Say's Nazim Hikmet Oratorio was performed in Russia by the participation of nearly 200 outstanding artists. Nazim Hikmet Oratorio was performed on April the 8th 2008 at the 2000 seated great hall of the International House of Music in Moscow at the opening of Turkish Republic Year of Culture that would be organized in Russia in 2008 between Turkish Republic Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Russian Federation Federal Agency of Culture and Cinema.
Ibrahim Yazici conducted the concert in which one of the eldest artistic corporations Presidential Symphony Orchestra and the State Polyphonic Choir that had represented our Country abroad a lot of times with great success took place.
While Fazil Say with his piano, Zuhal Olcay and Guvenc Dagustun with their songs and Genco Erkal with Nazim poems giving interest to the concert, Dersu Ekin Tanca, Kansu Ekin Tanca and Sezer Yilmazer shared the stage as the kid soloists in that wonderful work.

Mozart's magic sound
State Polyphonic Choir performed Mozart's Requiem on March the 7th Friday evening at a concert in which a real musical feast took place.
The concert that was performed with the Presidential Symphony Orchestra under the conduction of Emil Tabakov was at 8 o'clock p.m at the Council Hall.
Soprano Feryal Turkoglu, mezzosoprano Ferda Yetiser, tenor Ayhan Ustuk and
bass Tuncay Kurtoglu from Ankara State Opera were the soloists of the concert.
Our Choir also has a CD of that work which was recorded with Bilkent Symphony Orchestra that has to be shared with music lovers. |

Concert of February
The concert of the State Polyphonic Choir that was announced to be performed with the Presidential Symphony Orchestra at the Concert Hall of the Military School was performed at the Council Hall of the Ministry of National Education.
The conductor of the concert in which Borodin's Polovetch Dances and Beethoven's Choral Fantasie was performed was Rengim Gokmen.
Our 10. President Ahmet Necdet Sezer was also among the audiences of the concert in which Verda Erman took place as the soloist. |
