A CAPELLA CONCERT - 18th April saturday 20.00 hrs.
Our Chorus will perform an a capella concert on 18th of April saturday at 20.00 hrs. in CSO (Presidendal Symphony Orchestra) Concert Hall by leading of conductor Alessandro Cedrone. Entrance is free.

CONCERT - 18th of March Dardanelle Martyrs' Anniversary
Our Choir has performed a concert with Turkish Army Land Forces Band in Military Academy - Atatürk Hall on 18th of March at 20.00 hrs. for 94th anniversary of Dardanelle War which is the one of great victories, in our honorable history. In the concert, some parts of Vasıf Adıgüzel's "Dardanelle Oratorio" which was arranged for a band by Kıvanç Tepe , was performed.Mezzosoprano Zeynep Halvasi and bass Cem Beran Sertkaya were the soloists of the concert.

We Celebrate Our 20th Anniversary
20 years were spent since the establishment of the State Polyphonic Choir. Our Choir celebrates its 20th anniversary that can be considered a very short period of time after the years full of many activities.
 
In that case the Choir making its audiences filling the Presidential Symphony Orchestra Concert Hall have a wonderful concert full of ''a capella'' music on January 18th evening made the various colors of the World participated in its repertoire and tried to express the meaning of peace with the songs embracing all the lands.

Mahler's 2nd Symphony
State Polyphonic Choir performed Mahler's 2nd Symphony by the accompaniment of The Presidential Symphony Orchestra on January 16th Friday evening..  
Mahler's 2nd Symphony in which ''Ressurrection'' theme is developed has an effective final with its unaccompanied piece in the last movement. 

State Polyphonic Choir was in Antalya

Having 20 years since 1989 the date of establishment and the first concert, State Polyphonic Choir will participate in a lot of activities in this season.
 
The Choir who had two concerts one of educational and the other with an orchestra performed the first concert of the 20th anniversary in Antalya and also shared a short documentary with the audiences which tells about the history of 20 years.
 
Our State Choir was in Antalya College on January 8th and in Antalya Center of Culture with Antalya State Symphony Orchestra on January 9th.

Yunus Emre - A.A. Saygun
A group of singers from the State Polyphonic Choir also participated in the opening  concert of the hall in Izmir that had been given the name ''Saygun'' on December 27th.
 
A mixed group from several choirs and orchestras participated in the concert in which Saygun's Yunus Emre Oratorio was performed.
 
The opening concert that has got the ethusiastic interest of the audiences of Izmir also took its place in memories in addition to its successful artistic performance.

Concert Was Postponed
The New Year Concert that was planned to be performed with Military School Band and the State Polyphonic Choir was postponed because of the terrorist attack in Cizre.

Our Women and Folk Songs
Our Choir said ''Stop the Violence to Women'' once more on December 16th 2008 in Eskisehir Opera House.
 
The Choir who performed a remarkable concert in Eskisehir in the content of the ''Project of the Struggle Against the Violence to Woman inside the Family'' that was realized by the Prime Ministry Administration General of the Status of Woman by the technical support of
United Nations Population Fund and the financial support of European Comission performed
the folk songs which were harmonized for that special project expressing the drama of woman and shared the dramatic stories of the woman of Anatolia. 
 

Gala Concert with CSO

Gala Concert with the Presidential Symphony Orchestra (CSO)
 
State Polyphonic Choir participated at the Gala Concert of the restored concert hall of the Presidential Symphony Orchestra on November 12th, 13th and 14th.
 
The new concert hall that was restored by the help of Dogus Group was opened with a special ceremony by the participation of President Abdullah Gul. The Presidential Symphony Orchestra concert that was performed on Wednesday evening in which the State Polyphonic Choir and Dogus Children' s Symphony Orchestra participated with our
worldwide famous pianist Idil Biret was broadcasted on November 15th 2008 evening (Saturday) at 10.10.pm by NTV.
 
Also the concert performed on November 14th evening was honored by our 10th President Ahmet Necdet Sezer.

Meeting in Izmir with Nazim Oratorio

State Polyphonic Choir has shared Nazim Oratorio with the music lovers of Izmir that Fazil Say' s personality of composition came together with a great amount of audiences.
 
Fazil Say, Genco Erkal, Zuhal Olcay, Guvenc Dagustun and the State Polyphonic Choir shared the stage on November 10th Monday evening.
 
Tickets of the concert that was performed in Halkapinar Sports Hall under the conduction of Ibrahim Yazici were all gone as a result of that great interest.
